Behold then the kindness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but on you, the kindness of God, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.\r\nTopic\uff1a<\/strong>The Selection of grace\r\nEmphasis\uff1a<\/strong>Like Elijah, we often get discouraged by our external situation, or sometimes we think too highly of ourselves. We do not see that everything is set by God, through His selection of grace.\r\nMeditate\uff1a<\/strong>Do we know both aspects of God? He is merciful, but also he is severe.\r\nPrayer\uff1a<\/strong>Dear Lord, although many things are beyond my knowledge and understanding, but one thing I do need your help with, that is to keep me enjoying your mercy and grace.\r\nHymn\uff1a<\/strong>\r\nI don’t know about tomorrow\r\nI just live from day to day\r\nI don’t borrow from its sunshine\r\nFor its skies may turn to gray\r\nI don’t worry o’er the future\r\nFor I know what Jesus said\r\nAnd today I’ll walk beside Him\r\nFor He knows what is ahead\r\nChorus:\r\nMany things about tomorrow\r\nI don’t seem to understand\r\nBut I know who holds tomorrow\r\nAnd I know who holds my hand\r\n\r\nI don’t know about tomorrow\r\nIt may bring me poverty\r\nBut the one who feeds the sparrow\r\nIs the one who stands by me\r\nAnd the path that be my portion\r\nMay be through the flame or flood\r\nBut His presence goes before me\r\nAnd I’m covered with His blood\r\n
