So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.\r\nTopic\uff1a<\/strong>The selection of God\r\nEmphasis\uff1a<\/strong>This verse illustrates the selection of God by the case of Esau and Jacob. The salvation of a man is due to God\u2019s selection and compassion on him, not due to his good behavior and morality.\r\nMeditate\uff1a<\/strong> That you are saved indicates that you are marked out by the selection of God. What a grace it is to be chosen by God! \r\nPrayer\uff1a<\/strong>God, Praise you for your omniscience, thank you that your selection and mercies do not change.
