Verse 8 touches a Christian\u2019s attitude toward the finance: \u201cBut having food and covering, with these we will be content.\u201d Verse 10 warns us about the consequence of loving money: \u201c\u2026 pierced themselves through with many pains.\u201d<br\/>\r\n<strong>Meditate\uff1a<\/strong>1 Timothy 4:8 says \u201cbut godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the present life and of that which is to come\u201d. Verse 5 of Chapter 6 says the same thing from an opposite angle \u201c\u2026 supposing godliness to be a means of gain\u201d. Verse 6 concludes: \u201cBut godliness with contentment is great gain;\u201d Think about the relationship between these 3 verses.<br\/>\r\n<strong>Prayer\uff1a<\/strong>Lord, preserve me that I may not love money or be tempted by money.
