ROMANS 6
B. Identification with Christ
1. Identified
  1. What then shall we say? Should we continue in sin that grace may abound?
  2. Absolutely not! We who have died to sin, how shall we still live in it?
  3. Or are you ignorant that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
  4. We have been buried therefore with Him through baptism into His death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we might walk in newness of life.
  5. For if we have grown together with Him in the likeness of His death, indeed we will also be in the likeness of His resurrection,
2. Knowing
  1. Knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be annulled, that we should no longer serve sin as slaves;
  2. For he who has died is justified from sin.
  3. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him,
  4. Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more; death lords it over Him no more.
  5. For the death which He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life which He lives, He lives to God.
3. Reckoning
  1. So also you, reckon yourselves to be dead to sin, but living to God in Christ Jesus.
