Philip preached the gospel unto Samaria and Caesarea

(5/2) |

Verses:Acts 8:1 ~ 8:40
Key Verse:20-22. But Peter said to him, May your silver go with you into destruction, because you thought that you would acquire the gift of God through money. You have no part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not straight before God. Repent therefore from this wickedness of yours and beseech the Lord if perhaps the intent of your heart may be forgiven you;
Topic:Philip preached the gospel unto Samaria and Caesarea
Emphasis:The persecution forced disciples to scatter; therefore they went throughout the land announcing the word as the gospel. The gospel was able to be preached unto Samaria and Caesarea, even Ethiopia.
Meditate:The gospel is the work of God, full of God’s great power. For the glory of this great power sometimes the hidden human ambition is exposed. Do we respect someone especially much just because of their social status and wealth?
Prayer:Thank You Lord, for letting me see that persecution cannot stop Your gospel. Continually keep my heart proper before You.
Hymn:431 Thy mighty love, O God, constraineth me
