Through oppositions, He reveals that He is Lord of the Sabbath.

Verses:Matthew 12:1 ~ 12:21
Key Verse:20. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench until He brings forth justice unto victory.
Topic:Through oppositions, He reveals that He is Lord of the Sabbath.
Emphasis:Pharisees stressed the outward observing of the statues of Sabbath, but the Lord reveals that He is Lord of the Sabbath. It is only when we have Him, we would have the real rest.
Meditate:We are bruised reeds, who cannot produce music. We are also smoking flaxes who cannot produce light. Only the Lord can give us true rest.
Prayer:Thank the Lord for saving me from a boring and troubled human journey. Thank You that I can enjoy You as my true rest today.
Hymn:210 I’ve found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me
