Live against lusts, not be critical, not live for pleasure

(8/23) |

Verses:James 4:1 ~ 4:17
Key Verse:7-8a. Be subject therefore to God; but withstand the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
Topic:Live against lusts, not be critical, not live for pleasure
Emphasis:The devil is often hiding behind lusts, such as jealousy, pleasure, friendship with the world, criticism, etc. The way to deal with this is by taking care of the indwelling spirit in us and obeying God, drawing close to God and resisting the devil.
Meditate:Have you ever criticized others because of your self-confidence? Or dream about your future thinking you know better.
Prayer:Lord, please remind me everyday of caring about the spirit in me, so I learn to draw near to God and become aware of the lusts in my flesh.
Hymn:387 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice
