Dealing With a Brother Who is in Fornication

Verses:1_Corinthians 5:1 ~ 5:13
Key Verse:6-8. Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Purge out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened; for our Passover, Christ, also has been sacrificed. So then let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Topic:Dealing With a Brother Who is in Fornication
Emphasis:Fornication is the second main problem in the church life. Here Paul severely deals with this sin, which even pagans do not tolerate. This case told us: sin, like yeast, will leaven the whole lump of dough. Leaven disqualifies it to be offered to God as an burn offering (in Leviticus 2:11: “No meal offering that you present to Jehovah shall be made with leaven, for you shall not burn any leaven or any honey as an offering by fire to Jehovah.”)
Meditate:The whole life of a Christian is like the feast of unleavened bread, and we need purge all the sins.
Prayer:Thank God! You are my Passover Lamb. You have been killed for me. By Your blood I can enjoy the reality of the feast of unleavened bread. Show me how to remove the old leaven, and enjoy the reality of the feast of unleavened bread.
