Be Warned by Israel’s Failures

Verses:1_Corinthians 10:1 ~ 10:22
Key Verse:11-13. Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our admonition, unto whom the ends of the ages have come. So then let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has taken you except that which is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow that you be tempted beyond what you are able, but will, with the temptation, also make the way out, that you may be able to endure it.
Topic:Be Warned by Israel’s Failures
Emphasis:In the Old Testament during the Exodus, the Israelites fellowshipped with God through the altar using the sacrifice. Because of fornications, idolatries and murmuring, they spoiled the fellowship. As a result, God was not pleased with them and eventually they all fell in the wilderness. The apostle Paul uses these examples to warn us that we must be preserved in the fellowship of the blood of Christ and have fellowship of the Body of Christ.
Meditate:Corinthians 10:22, “Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?” Have we done something for which we need to repent?
Prayer:Praise the Lord; through Your precious blood I can partake of Your body. Please keep me in this fellowship without any interruptions.
Hymn:Consecration: To Become the Testimony of Jesus
