The Apostle’s advice before his martyrdom

(10/13) |

Verses:2_Timothy 4:1 ~ 4:22
Key Verse:6-8. For I am already being poured out, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight; I have finished the course; I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, with which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will recompense me in that day, and not only me but also all those who have loved His appearing.
Topic:The Apostle’s advice before his martyrdom
Emphasis:Paul knew he was about to be martyred. Timothy 4:7-8 show Paul’s inner feeling and his encouraging words to the saints. May we all be able to say the same when we finally meet with our Lord.
Meditate:Paul summarized his life from the aspects: “the good fight”, “finished the course” and “kept the faith”. How are you doing on these three aspects?
Prayer:Praise the Lord for the testimony of Paul. Please make me like him to be faithful to you until the end of my life.
Hymn:When I’ve run the race before me
