Verses:John 7:25 ~ 7:52
Key Verse:37-38. Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes into Me, as the Scripture said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.
Topic:The Spirit can quench people’s thirst
Emphasis:The Feast of Tabernacles, also called the feast of harvest, which is a time of joyous celebration after the autumn harvest. The last day of the feast is the emptiest and thirstiest day that people always felt. Jesus promised whoever would come to Him will receive living water, which is the Spirit that is coming.
Meditate:In human life there are excitements and happiness, but always end with deeper thirst. Did you taste the living water given by Jesus?
Prayer:Thank You for Your firm promise—“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink”. Don’t let me be cheated to drink that water which cannot quench thirst. Keep me come to You by faith, and drinking Your living water.
Hymn:770 In the holiest place, touch the throne of grace,
