Divine fellowship

(11/26) |

Verses:1_John 1:1 ~ 2:2
Key Verse:7. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin.
Topic:Divine fellowship
Emphasis:The word “fellowship” was used four times in this chapter. This word can also be translated as “joint participation”, which describes the intimate and divine relationship between God and man. “God is light” (verse 5) indicates that our fellowship with God brings us into the light, which exposes our sinful condition. Hence verses 7 to 9 tell us that through our “confession” in the precious blood of Jesus, we are able to continue to stay in the light and in the fellowship.
Meditate:Pray-read those verses with the word “fellowship”.
Prayer:Lord, how we thank You for the “word of life” that through faith I may have fellowship with You. Praise You for Your precious blood that keeps cleansing me that I may stay in the light and in the enjoyment of the light.
Hymn:1197 God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all
