Using two parables of sowing seeds to reveal two aspects of the kingdom of the heavens

(1/17) |

Verses:Matthew 13:1 ~ 13:30
Key Verse:23. But the one sown on the good earth, this is he who hears the word and understands, who by all means bears fruit and produces, one a hundredfold, and one sixtyfold, and one thirtyfold.
Topic:Using two parables of sowing seeds to reveal two aspects of the kingdom of the heavens
Emphasis:One aspect is about God’s words as the seeds and man’s heart as the soil. These two factors determine whether fruit may be produced. The other aspect is about Satan (God’s adversary) mixing false believers (tares) into true believers (the wheat).
Meditate:Believers’ receiving God’s words is like receiving seeds into our heart. What kind of situations would stop us from becoming fruitful?
Prayer:Lord, enlighten me that I would made aware if I am too busy, stubborn or anxious over many things. May the condition of my heart is right for yielding much fruit.
Hymn:395 O Jesus Christ, grow Thou in me
