(11/20) |

Verses:John 18:1 ~ 18:27
Key Verse:8-9. Jesus answered, I told you that I am; if therefore you seek Me, let these go away, That the word might be fulfilled which He spoke, Of those whom You have given Me, I have not lost one.
Topic:Betrayed, tried, denied
Emphasis:He boldly faced death. Although Judas betrayed Him, Peter denied Him, and one of the attendants slapped Him, He was still concerned for His disciples’ safety. His attitude toward God the Father’s will is “becoming obedient even unto death, and that the death of a cross.”(Phil 2:8).
Meditate:On the one hand, Jesus went to the cross because he obeyed God the Father’s will; on the other hand, He did this because He loved us. Please think about their relationship.
Prayer:Praise You Lord for Your testimony that You obeyed God the Father’s will. Also thank You for Your care toward Your disciples no matter how bad the outside environment was.
