But a soulish man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him and he is not able to know them because they are discerned spiritually.\r\nBut the spiritual man discerns all things, but he himself is discerned by no one.\r\nFor who has known the mind of the Lord and will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.<br\/>\r\n<strong>Topic\uff1a<\/strong>Understanding God\u2019s wisdom through the Spirit<br\/>\r\n<strong>Emphasis\uff1a<\/strong>People who think they are intelligent usually deny or despise things they don\u2019t understand. Verse 7 says \u201cBut we speak God&#8217;s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom which has been hidden\u201d. We have to receive \u201cthe Spirit which is from God\u201d (verse 12) to gain proper understanding.<br\/>\r\n<strong>Meditate\uff1a<\/strong>These two phrases unveil the relationship between God\u2019s mystery and us: \u201cwhich God predestined before the ages for our glory\u201d (verse 7) and \u201cthat we may know the things which have been graciously given to us by God\u201d (verse 12)<br\/>\r\n<strong>Prayer\uff1a<\/strong>O God, thank You for through Your wisdom we have be predestinated before the ages for our glory.
