Emphasis：The chief priests, scribes and elders were persons of authority at that time. For the sake of their own interests, they denied John the Baptist and rejected Jesus. Therefore the parable here indicates that God has rejected them also.
Meditate：The denarii bore the image of Caesar so they are Caesar’s. Men were created according to God’s likeness (Genesis 1:27), so they ought to be God’s. Further more believers are obtained through God’s own blood (Acts 20:28). We are God’s possession.
Prayer：Lord, many have rejected You due to ignorance and rebellion. Open my understanding that I would recognize Your ownership. I am Yours.
