The individual aspect of God’s full salvation

Verses:1_Peter 1:1 ~ 1:12
Key Verse:6-7. In which time you exult, though for a little while at present, if it must be, you have been made sorrowful by various trials, So that the proving of your faith, much more precious than of gold which perishes though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
Topic:The individual aspect of God’s full salvation
Emphasis:In verses 3-9 Peter gave us a brief introduction about the individual aspect of God’s full salvation. (He started to cover the corporate aspect in Chapter 2.) Starting from regeneration through faith which gives us a living hope unto an inheritance, through trials, ending with the revelation of Jesus Christ, this passage gives us Christians a complete outline about experiencing God’s full salvation.
Meditate:God’s full salvation is to prepare us that we may exult at His appearance. Think about the relationship between “various trials” and “the salvation of your souls”.
Prayer:O God, thank You for Your great mercy that I have been regenerated through faith unto a living hope. Preserve me that I would not live by sight. Rather, I would love You and exult with joy.
Hymn:1153 We have found the Christ who’s all in all
