The Testimony of the Apostles

(8/28) |

Verses:1_Corinthians 4:1 ~ 4:21
Key Verse:3-5. But to me it is a very small thing that I should be examined by you or by man’s day; rather I do not even examine myself. For I am conscious of nothing against myself; but I am not justified in this, but He who examines me is the Lord. So then do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and make manifest the counsels of the hearts, and then there will be praise to each from God.
Topic:The Testimony of the Apostles
Emphasis:Those who love to contend in order to exalt themselves will always “be puffed up on behalf of one, against the other”. Paul uses his own example to help believers to “not judge anything before the time, until the Lord comes”.
Meditate:Externally, Paul does not seem to be “prudent, strong, and glorious” in men’s view. That was why the believers in Corinth looked down upon him. Do we look down upon someone just because of their external situation?
Prayer:Please save me from natural judgment; daily keep me living in the light of Your judgment seat.
