Emphasis：“the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath but also called God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.”(v. 18) This verse shows that the Jews care nothing about the need of the paralytic, nor do they accept Jesus as God becomes a man. They only care for the rules of religion.
Meditate： Do we sometimes pay more attention to outward rituals than God’s living words?
Prayer：Please help me know that You are the Lord of life as well as the Judge. Please keep me in Your word, to receive the life supply from Your words, so that I can stand in front of Your judgment seat fearlessly because of the saving grace in Your word.
