Key Verse：5. And one of the elders said to me, Do not weep; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so that He may open the scroll and its seven seals.

Emphasis：This chapter records the heavenly scene of Jesus’ resurrection and ascension. He is the Lamb that was slain (for redemption). He is also the Lion of Judah (for reigning). In the whole universe only He is qualified to open the seven seals to execute God’s universal administration. In particular, He “will reign on the earth” (v. 10) through His redeemed people.
Meditate：From verses 9 and 10, please find out God’s main job for the redeemed ones.
Prayer：Lord, praise You that You are the Lion-Lamb opening the seven seals of God’s administration. Today I want to proclaim with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who has been slain to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”
